Church

There are a variety ways to serve and support the ministries of Peace Lutheran Church.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology is used by the varying ministries at Peace Lutheran to better communicate God’s Word to people.  There are a variety of ways and times to serve in this ministry, including:

  • Sound tech for worship
  • Website design and maintenance
  • Set-up of projectors and screens for classes and events
  • Office Support

There are probably a few more ways we could faithfully use technology—e-mail us and let us know!

OFFICE

The Parish Office Manager focuses on supporting all ministries of Peace, preparing and coordinating communications with the congregation, including the Parables and weekly bulletin insert and maintaining the church calendar and building use.

Some of the tasks for Office volunteers are:

  • Coordinate outgoing mailings
  • Printing materials
  • Collating bulletins
  • Visitor Outreach

CONGREGATIONAL SUPPORT

At Peace Lutheran church, we like to help each other. This ministry connects those who can serve with those who have a need.

Our volunteers may,

  • Provide a meal
  • Provide a ride to an appointment
  • Clean a home
  • Sit with an individual
  • Mow lawn or do yard work
  • Provide a ride to church

FACILITIES

At Peace, we take pride in the facility the Lord has given us.  We show this by maintaining and improving our facility as we are able.  This is possible with:

  • The Lord’s help
  • Volunteers of all ages
  • Folks that want to learn while doing
  • New ideas
  • Your gifts, tithes, and prayers

You can join this ministry team and work on one special project or all the projects you want! We are very flexible; please e-mail for more details.

WORSHIP

The worship of God is central at Peace Lutheran church. This ministry is essential for the gathering of the saints, proclaiming the Word, preparing and serving Holy Communion, and sending the saints out to minister to our world. Sunday morning worship is at 8:15 and 10:45; Evening Prayer is every Wednesday at 6:00pm, and we worship other times throughout the year. Opportunities to serve include:

  • Opening prayer
  • Assisting minister
  • Children’s message
  • Ushering or communion assistant
  • Cantor—leading worship through singing

ALTAR GUILD

Word and sacraments are central to our life in Christ. The Altar Guild serves by caring for the sanctuary and preparing the sacraments. Anyone may serve in any of the following ways:

  • Set-up, reset, or clean-up Holy Communion and Baptism
  • Care for altar linens, banners, robes, paraments, and other sanctuary items
  • Cross stitch baptismal napkins or make banners
  • Coordinate altar flowers
  • Seasonal decorating
