God - God has been revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, holy, and loving.
The Sacraments - We believe that Holy Communion & Holy Baptism are sacraments, which hold both the command and promise of God. In the waters of baptism we are buried with Christ in a death like His and given the promise of a resurrection like His (Romans 6:4 and Colossians 2:12). We are adopted into God's family and His Holy Spirit is given to us. Baptism is available for all, because in Scripture entire households were baptized and Jesus did not restrict baptism by age when instructing us to baptize all nations.
Holy Communion is for those who have been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and who believe that Jesus is full present in, with, and under the bread and wine. We believe that the bread and wine are Christ's own body and blood, as He promised.
The Scriptures - We believe and have experienced that the Bible is the Word of God. In the pages of these 66 books, God reveals His character and will, we see our own sinful reflection, and we learn of God’s offer of eternal life in Jesus Christ. The entire Bible is inspired by God and is the final authority in faith and life. We believe Christians should read the Bible in the light of Jesus Christ, through the lens of both Law and Gospel, and by interpreting Scripture with Scripture. God’s Holy Spirit can lead Christians through His written Word to eternal truths which transcend cultural contexts. Living under the whole counsel of God in the Bible, Christians can know God’s will and be led in truth.
Eternal Salvation - We all live in the condition of sin, separated from God, unable to free ourselves. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Jesus Christ, the Son, was sent that we might have life with God and have it abundantly. He died on the cross, taking on all our sins, and was raised to new life, defeating sin, death, and the devil. We are saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ and His atoning sacrifice for us. There is nothing we do to bring ourselves to God - it is entirely God's work and movement toward us.
The Church - We believe that those who honestly rely on Jesus are the Church, Christ’s body. Calling us together in local communities, God empowers believers with differing gifts for the purpose of service together. We cherish our unity with all believers, locally and around the world, who preach, teach, and live the Good News of Jesus Christ
